The Community Opportunity Fund (COF) believes that affordable and mixed-income housing can be the foundation of equalizing the poor distribution of opportunity in the US. We advance our work by contributing to theories of opportunity, providing platforms for research, and data collection, and by funding or engaging in the direct delivery services addressing health, racial, economic, environmental, and other inequities residents in affordable housing in the US face. Mission

Together with residents and their communities, Community Opportunity Fund creates scalable resident services, researches these solutions, and uses the data and analysis produced to shift public policy and funding towards creating the conditions for residents to thrive.

Vision

The voices, needs, and skills of residents and their communities drive policy, financing, and regulatory changes in housing and community development that improve residents’ wellbeing and housing environment, while reducing inequity.
